Antiques Extravaganza of North Carolina is based in Winston-Salem, NC and had its start there in 1977. In 1979, the first Raleigh Antiques Extravaganza was held at the Raleigh Civic (Convention) Center and shows were held in downtown Raleigh until the move in 2011 to the NC State Fairgrounds, a long-standing landmark in the Raleigh area. Shows are now held three times a year (March, July, and November) in the Exposition Center on the NC State Fairgrounds complex.

In 1985, the shows expanded out of state to Richmond, VA. Two shows are held yearly (January and October) at The Richmond Raceway Complex, located in the suburbs of Richmond.
Both shows draw heavily, not only from within their respective states, but also from bordering states. Quality exhibitors from throughout the U.S. consistently bring fine, quality merchandise to these shows.
Since our beginning, the "Extravaganzas" have always adhered to the original concept of "antiques and old collectibles only".
